Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, approximately 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.

Stir in the canned mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
